Refresh Rate (E Ink)
The time required for an E Ink display to update its image, typically 1-20 seconds.
Unlike LCD or OLED screens which refresh at 60 frames per second or higher, E Ink displays have a significantly slower refresh rate. A full image update typically takes 1-3 seconds for monochrome panels and 5-20 seconds for color ACeP or Spectra panels. This slow refresh is what prevents E Ink from being suitable for video or animation, but it has no practical impact on static art display use cases and is part of what gives E Ink its calm, low-demand character.
